Dear Castle Families,

I am writing this newsletter as many of you are here for parent/teacher conferences. At Castle we enjoy incredible support from families; we have outstanding attendance on conference days. Thank you for supporting your child’s education in this important way.

As a reminder, and for your child’s safety, please do not drop your child off at school before 8:30 a.m. Staff members are busy planning for their day, or are in meetings, and are not available to monitor students. Students are not allowed into the instructional areas until 8:30 a.m. Thank you for your understanding.

If your child missed picture day in September, picture retake day will be Thursday, October 29th. We will also be doing an ALL SCHOOL picture at 9:00 am – be sure your child is not late for school!

We are looking forward to the Fall Harvest Dance, Friday, October 30, from 7:00-9:00 pm. Please help your child select non-threatening, non-violent costumes and accessories appropriate in a school setting that will have families with pre-schoolers in attendance. District policy prohibits weapons (including look-a-like and toy weapons) on school property. This is a wonderful, free, family event brought to you by your PTO. Hope to see you there!

We are also in the process of planning our Veteran’s Day program for our students on November 11. We would love to honor any former Castle students who are in the military or who are military veterans. Please contact the school office if you know of Castle connected veterans that we should include in this celebration.

As always, thank you for your support of the learning process!

In partnership,

Mrs. Town
